The short version
No account. No ads. No tracking.
BitQuit does not send your personal data, Screen Time usage, browsing history, or protected selections to the developer or third parties.
Information BitQuit handles
BitQuit stores your preferences on your device, including your battery threshold, protection schedule, feature settings, and onboarding state. When you choose protected apps, categories, or websites, Apple’s Family Controls framework supplies privacy-preserving selection tokens. BitQuit uses those tokens to apply the protections you request.
BitQuit does not receive the names or identities represented by those selection tokens.
Data collection and sharing
BitQuit does not transmit personal data, device-usage data, browsing history, protected selections, or analytics to the developer or third parties. BitQuit does not use advertising or tracking technologies and does not create user accounts.
If you purchase BitQuit Premium, Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. BitQuit checks Apple-provided purchase entitlement information to unlock Premium. The developer does not receive or store your payment-card information through the app.
On-device storage
Preferences, Protection Profiles, Quit Passcode verification data, and selection tokens are stored locally in BitQuit’s app storage and private App Group so the app’s Screen Time extensions can provide shields, schedules, and reports. This information is used only to provide BitQuit’s features. BitQuit does not store the plain-text Quit Passcode.
Apple services
BitQuit uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks. Those technologies and the iPhone’s Screen Time authorization controls are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
Your choices
You can change or clear protected activities inside BitQuit, turn off Automatic Guard or the Protection Schedule, remove active shields, or revoke Screen Time access through iPhone settings. Deleting BitQuit removes data managed in the app’s local container and App Group according to iOS behavior.
Children
BitQuit does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The app does not transmit personal information off the device.
Changes to this policy
If BitQuit’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is released.
